The judicial understanding of Section 377 only legitimises and reinforces state power to prosecute and harass those of an alternative sexual orientation or gender identity.

Hace un par de semanas que en la India ya no es un crimen ser homosexual... A la mierda la ley del Código Penal 337 que calificaba las relaciones sexuales entre personas del mismo sexo como una "ofensa antinatural". Esa ley era "una violación de los derechos humanos fundamentales", dice la sentencia.

¿Antinatural?
Permítanme citar una nota al respecto, que reza en el Kama Sutra: One indicator of the liberal Hindu heritage, Kama Sutra, a classic written in the first millenium by Sage Vatsyayana, devotes a whole chapter to homosexual sex saying "it is to be engaged in and enjoyed for its own sake as one of the arts." Besides providing a detailed description of oral sex between men, Kama Sutra categorizes men who desire other men as "third nature" and refers to longterm unions between men.
